Skiathos Island

The modern town of Skiathos - the only one on the island - lies towards the eastern end of an undramatic south coast, and its large harbour is one of the safest in the northern sea. The town straddles a low headland at the entrance to a deep inlet which extends northwards almost to the end of the airport runway, and the two arms of the harbour are divided by a curious wooded promontory. Carnival In Skyros
